I started BluesPlus so I can do what I love, make radio programs about the music I care about and the artists who create it. Like the shows, this website is dedicated to the music. I hope it will be a source of information and pleasure to anyone who visits, especially other likeminded folks for whom music is more than just background noise. I also want every visitor to know a little bit about my friend Dave Casey.

	Dave was a kindred spirit. A fan first, he became a friend and then my partner and inspiration. His input about the show (and the shows we hope to develop) was invaluable. More important was the belief he had in me and in what I'm trying to do. I met him at a time when I was standing at a personal and professional crossroads. If not for his encouragement I would have given up BluesPlus and found another direction.

	Dave died suddenly in early 2007. The shock and pain of that loss is with me every day. The last time we talked he told me that he believed 2007 was going to be our year, that all the elements to make BluesPlus successful have come into place. Time will tell whether or not he was right about that.

	I don't know how successful BluesPlus will become in the commercial sense. But I know that whatever happens, it would not have been possible without Dave. And it won't be as much fun without my buddy to share it with. Still, life goes on and the music helps us enjoy the good times more and lessens the burden of the sad times.

These words aren't meant to be sad, but it's important to me to acknowledge my friend even though he isn't here to continue this journey. I hope you find the rest of this website fun and informative. If you listen to any BluesPlus programs, the database can enhance that experience. If you don't there is still a lot here that you might find interesting. There is also information on how to bring the shows to your area if they aren't available.
